NQT MATERNITY COVER ROLE - BLACKBURN PRIMARY
A small school on the outskirts of Blackburn and Darwen have approached Teaching Personnel in order to source a teacher to cover an NQT maternity in the KS2 department. The school have only approached Teaching Personnel in order to source a candidate who can be flexible with the length of contract starting in September. The school have worked with the agency for the last three years and as a result there has been a number of teachers and teaching assistants work in school - all of which have fed back positively about the school culture and support.
The Head teacher has been in post for almost four years; she is supportive, approachable and well known across the cluster schools as being an inspirational Head teacher. The Senior Leadership Team is also on hand throughout the working day to support the staff to ensure all the children are making the desired progress. The behaviour in school is graded as GOOD by Ofsted and the policy is used consistently to ensure all the children are well behaved and are safe in the work environment. There are a number of children who arrive in school working below expected age related levels and are categorised as being in the top bracket for vulnerability. The school are always keen to develop relationships with the children and their parents to ensure they are given the best opportunity to succeed in school - this will need to be considered when applying for the role. This is not just a supply position; this is a full time teaching role which will involve full planning, delivery and assessment. You will also be expected to plan on a medium term and on a weekly basis. You will be given time in the working week to ensure all planning and assessment is completed. There is a possibility that the school have the capacity to support any NQTs through their induction.
As this is a KS2 cover role, you MUST have recent experience working in a KS2 setting. The year group of the class is not yet known, however it is not expected to be Y6. The Head teacher will want to shortlist by the end of this week with the view to observing and interviewing interested candidates. The role is then expected to commence from the first or second week in September 2019.
The pay for this role will be reflected by the comparable salary the school are covering and not necessarily the level as to which you are currently working at. You will be expected to be paid from £85-110 per day. In order to be considered for this role, you must be registered with Teaching Personnel holding a DBS on the Update Service and two education based references from your most recent schools.
If you have any reservations with regards to working temporary through Teaching Personnel then please do not hesitate to contact the office to find out the benefits to working through an agency. You can also check out our recommendations on the GOOGLE REVIEWS page, this is mainly completed by teachers and teaching assistants who have successfully worked through Teaching Personnel.
