Job Title: Newly Qualified Teacher
Location: Newport
Contract Type: Full Time / Part Time
Pay: £172.98 per day (paid weekly)

Teaching Personnel are working with primary schools across Newport who are seeking a Newly Qualified Teacher (ECT) to begin their teaching career in a supportive and well-structured school environment.

This role is ideal for an ECT looking to gain confidence, develop classroom practice and build strong foundations at the start of their teaching journey.


About the Role

  • Full classroom teaching responsibility within a primary setting
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the curriculum
  • Managing classroom behaviour with support from experienced staff
  • Supporting pupils with a range of abilities, including ALN/SEN
  • Working closely with Teaching Assistants and senior staff
  • Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching accordingly
  • Contributing positively to the wider school community

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds QTS (or is due to qualify)
  • Newly Qualified Teacher / Early Career Teacher (ECT)
  • Confident, organised and eager to learn
  • Open to feedback and professional development
  • Committed to inclusive teaching and pupil wellbeing
  • Reliable, proactive and enthusiastic

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
