Secondary Music Teacher

 

Location: Southsea, Hampshire

Start Date: Flexible!

 

A school known for its strong Christian ethos, nurturing community, and improved performance, having secured a Good Ofsted rating in its most recent inspection, is seeking a passionate Music Teacher to join their team!

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a determined journey of growth, where your passion for Music can genuinely transform the futures of students.

This role will initially start on a substitute basis, with opportunities to roll over to a permanent position!

The Role

A Music specialist who:

  • Delivers engaging, challenging and inspiring Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Has strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Music!
  • Creates a positive, inclusive and well‑managed classroom environment
  • Is committed to raising achievement and supporting every learner
  • Contributes to curriculum development, enrichment, and wider school life
  • Works collaboratively with colleagues as part of a supportive and ambitious Music department

 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Ability to support those with SEN within a mainstream setting
  • KS3 and KS4 teaching experience
  • Confident and adaptable in the classroom
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students
  • Genuine enthusiasm for educating young people

 

Working Hours / Benefits

  • Initially a temporary supply position, with the opportunity to go permanent!
  • Part Time and Full Time available
  • Monday-Friday
  • Term Time Only
  • Holiday Pay
