Job description

Music Teacher – Bringing Creativity, Confidence & Community to Life
Start Date: April 2026
Location: Poole

Are you a committed Music Teacher who loves helping young people express themselves through creativity? We’re working with an inclusive and ambitious secondary school in Poole that is searching for an inspiring educator to join their community from April 2026.

This is a school where every young person is encouraged to feel they belong. Diversity is welcomed, individuality is celebrated, and music plays a meaningful role in shaping a positive, vibrant culture. If you’re passionate about building confidence, nurturing talent, and creating opportunities for all students to shine, you’ll feel right at home here.

Why this school stands out

  • A real sense of community: Staff and students value respectful, positive relationships. You’ll join a team that works collaboratively and puts wellbeing and personal growth at the forefront.
  • Ambition for every learner: High expectations are embedded throughout the school. You’ll have the freedom to bring fresh ideas, stretch students’ potential, and deliver engaging learning experiences regardless of starting point.
  • Students who have a voice: Learners are encouraged to shape aspects of school life, bringing energy, creativity, and ownership to the classroom and wider musical opportunities.
  • A purposeful environment: Music is valued as a subject that strengthens confidence, expression, and connection—far more than just a timetable requirement.

The Role

Starting in April 2026, you’ll teach Music across Key Stages 3–4, with the possibility of Key Stage 5 depending on your experience. You’ll also contribute to a lively extracurricular programme—whether that’s leading a choir, running instrumental groups, or coordinating performances that bring the whole community together.

What we’re looking for

  • A teacher who believes wholeheartedly in inclusivity and the potential of every student.
  • Someone who builds strong, supportive, and respectful relationships.
  • A creative practitioner who strives for high standards and isn’t afraid to bring new ideas.
  • A role model who brings passion, joy, and enthusiasm to the Music department.

If you’re excited by the idea of joining a forward‑thinking, warm, and engaging school community in Poole, we’d love to hear from you.
