A vibrant and creative mainstream secondary school in Poole is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Music Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis, starting as soon as possible.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students through music, nurture creativity, and contribute to a thriving performing arts department. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a love for music and performance within the school community.
Key responsibilities include:

Planning and delivering creative, inspiring Music lessons in line with the national curriculum

Encouraging students to develop performance, composition, and listening skills
-
Preparing students for assessments and practical performances
-
Contributing to the wider life of the school through concerts, ensembles, and extracurricular activities

Working collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the Music and Performing Arts provision
The ideal candidate will:
-
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
-
Have experience teaching Music across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential)

Be passionate about inspiring young people through music and performance
-
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills
-
Be committed to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
