We are looking for a passionate and adaptable Music Teacher to take on term cover for a local secondary school in Middlesbrough starting in September. Whether you're an experienced teacher seeking flexibility or an ECT beginning your career, this is a fantastic opportunity to build your classroom experience across a variety of school settings.

The Role

  • Plan and deliver engaging Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Follow lesson plans and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Adapt quickly to different school settings
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and promote a positive learning environment
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Mark work where required and provide feedback

Who We’re Looking For

  • QTS or Equivalent
  • A degree in Music or a related discipline
  • ECTs/NQTs are very welcome
  • Confident classroom presence and strong subject knowledge
  • Reliable, flexible, and professional
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • An up-to-date DBS or the willingness to get one
  • Satisfactory background screening

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
