Teaching Personnel are seeking to recruit a Subject Leader of Music Teacher for a Secondary School in Luton!



Start Date: September 2025
Position: Lead Teacher of Music
Salary: MPS/UPS (Dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent


Job Overview

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, inspirational, and passionate specialist to lead our Music department. If you are an existing or aspiring subject leader, we would welcome your interest and application. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of Music at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Provide leadership in Music and ensure excellent outcomes for all students.
  • Lead the development of the curriculum so that all students receive a rich and challenging experience in Music.
  • Be an effective classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management, committed to ensuring all students succeed and fulfil their potential.
  • Develop and hold staff accountable for their contributions to the department.
  • Maintain an outstanding track record within your current department or role

Ideal Candidate

  • Proven leadership experience or potential within a Music department.
  • Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to student success.
  • Experience in curriculum development and implementation.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate both students and staff.
  • A passion for Music education and a dedication to continuous improvement.
