Music Teacher
Job description
Music Teacher – Inspiring Creativity, Confidence & Community
Start Date: April 2026
Are you a passionate Music Teacher who believes in the power of creativity to bring people together? We’re looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated educator to join a vibrant, ambitious, and truly inclusive secondary school community from April 2026.
This is a place where every student is encouraged to find their voice—literally and figuratively. You’ll be joining a school that celebrates individuality, values diversity, and creates a real sense of belonging for both students and staff. Music plays a key role in shaping that culture, and you’ll have the opportunity to lead and inspire through a subject that sits at the heart of the school’s creative identity.
What makes this school special?
- A genuine community feel: Students thrive in an environment built on kindness, respect, and positive relationships. You’ll be part of a supportive team that shares a strong commitment to helping young people grow.
- High expectations and ambition for all: The school believes in pushing boundaries—academically, creatively, and personally. You’ll be encouraged to bring fresh ideas, champion high standards, and help students reach their full potential, whatever their starting point.
- A culture where students have a voice: Learners are actively involved in shaping school life. Your subject area will benefit from students who are engaged, curious, and keen to contribute to performances, ensembles, and wider creative projects.
- A place where learning feels purposeful: Music isn’t just another timetable slot here—it's a space for expression, confidence‑building, and connection.
The Role
Joining the team in April 2026, you’ll deliver high‑quality Music lessons across Key Stages 3–4 (and potentially Key Stage 5, depending on experience), design engaging schemes of learning, and help grow a thriving extracurricular offer. Whether it’s leading a choir, running a band, or coordinating performances, you’ll have the freedom to bring your passion to life.
Who we’re looking for
- A teacher who champions inclusivity and believes every student can succeed.
- Someone who builds strong, positive relationships in the classroom.
- A creative thinker with high expectations and a collaborative approach.
- A role model who inspires confidence, curiosity, and joy through music.
If you’re ready to make a meaningful impact in a forward‑thinking, supportive community, we’d love to hear from you.
