Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for SEN Teaching Assistants to join one of client schools in Stockport. This position will be full-time, starting in September.
The salary for this position will be between £385 and £450 per week.
The main responsibility of this position will be centred around behaviour management. Many of the pupils that you will be working with will have special educational needs such as Autism, ADHD, and other moderate learning difficulties. The successful candidates will be able to manage the behaviour of the pupils using their knowledge of autism and ADHD to create methods to ensure that the pupils remain focussed on the lessons being provided.
You will work on a one-to-one basis or in small groups of pupils who require additional SEN support. Many of the pupils that you will be working with will have Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs), it will be your responsibility with the support of the SEN Coordinator to ensure that these are being followed effectively.
The school that you will be working with is currently rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted. The general behaviour of the school is very good, with excellent academic performance. It is an ideal environment to gain experience working in education. You will be supported by Teaching Personnel throughout this position, for the right candidates, there will be opportunities for progression onto permanent roles.
To be successful for this position, you must be able to apply for a fully enhanced DBS check, as well as provide at least two employment-based references, covering the last two years of your employment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
