Do you have experience in teaching Maths and are looking for some flexible work teaching children on a 1 to 1 basis?
At TP Tutors we have an exciting opportunity to help young children with achieving their academic goals within Maths. The role will require someone who can create and plan exciting and engaging sessions to maximise the children’s potential within all areas of Maths. We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with children and helping them become the best they can be.
The role will be 1:1 tuition and may take place within the student' home or in a public location (e.g. local library). This role is based in the Eastwood area (NG16).
This Maths tutor role involves:
- Plan, create and teach engaging sessions.
- Track progress and plan next steps.
- Inspire children to achieve.
- Be aware of the child’s needs and interests and plan to this accordingly.
- Implement behaviour strategies to ensure children are focussed.
We are looking for:
- Experience of teaching Maths or working with children within the subject.
- Range of experience working with children in different settings.
- Ability to develop effective behaviour management strategies.
- Apply skills to help children catch up and progress with their learning.
- Able to track progress and plan next steps in children’s learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
