Job description

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming mainstream secondary school in St Helens to recruit a dedicated Maths Teacher for a September 2026 start.

This role would suit a confident teacher who is passionate about helping students develop their numeracy and problem-solving skills. The school has a supportive leadership team and a collaborative Maths department committed to raising attainment across KS3 and KS4.

The role will involve:

  • Delivering engaging Maths lessons to a range of abilities
  • Planning and assessing in line with the national curriculum
  • Supporting pupils to achieve their academic potential
  • Contributing positively to the wider school community

The school is open to:

  • ECTs looking for strong mentoring and career development
  • Experienced teachers seeking long-term stability or a permanent role

Requirements:

  • QTS (or equivalent UK teaching qualification)
  • Recent experience teaching Maths in a UK secondary school
  • A positive, proactive teaching approach
