Maths Teacher - One Year Maternity

Job description

We're working with a well-regarded secondary school in Rochdale that is looking to appoint a Maths Teacher for a one-year maternity cover starting this September.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a school with a strong reputation, where staff genuinely enjoy working. The leadership team is supportive, behaviour is well managed, and the department is made up of experienced teachers who work closely together and are always happy to help. Feedback from current and previous staff has been consistently positive, making this a school where teachers feel valued and supported.

The successful candidate will be teaching Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that encourage students to achieve their full potential. The school is open to applications from experienced teachers as well as ECTs looking to begin their teaching career in a welcoming environment.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have experience teaching Maths in UK secondary schools
  • Be passionate about delivering high-quality lessons
  • Have strong classroom management skills and high expectations of students
  • Be committed to making a positive contribution to the wider school community

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
