Pay: Starting from M2 (£172.98 per day), paid to scale for long-term assignments
Start date: September 2026
Contract: Long-term supply contract until January 2027
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Maths Teacher to join a secondary school in Newport on a full-time, long-term basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to inspire pupils and help them build confidence in numeracy, problem-solving and mathematical reasoning. Applications are welcomed from experienced Maths Teachers, Early Career Teachers and teachers returning to the profession.
The role
As a Maths Teacher, you will:
Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Teach a range of topics in line with the school curriculum.
Support pupils preparing for assessments and GCSE examinations.
Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
Adapt lessons to meet different learning needs and abilities.
Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
Contribute to the wider work of the Maths department.
What we are looking for
The successful Maths Teacher will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Have experience teaching Maths within a secondary school.
Have strong subject and curriculum knowledge.
Demonstrate effective classroom and behaviour-management skills.
Be reliable, adaptable and committed to pupil progress.
Be available for a full-time, long-term position from September 2026.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
