Teacher of Mathematics

  • Location: Sandhurst, Surrey
  • Ofsted graded: Good
  • Contract : Permanent 
  • Start date: 1st September 2020

An outstanding opportunity in an outstanding school where the wellbeing and professional development of staff is a high priority.

Required for September 2020 for this heavily over-subscribed, flourishing and successful 11 – 16 Secondary school. This year, 81% of Year 11 pupils gained at least GCSE grade 4 in both English and mathematics.

An enthusiastic, committed and able teacher is sought to teach mathematics throughout Key Stages 3 and 4. The Mathematics Department is very successful. In October 2013 the department underwent an Ofsted Subject Survey and was judged to be Outstanding in all areas.

Is attractively and conveniently situated close to Bracknell.

The position start in September (dependent on school openings) and you will be teaching Mathematics to KS3 & KS4, following the AQA GCSE Specification.  

It is noted that ‘Students make outstanding progress from their starting points.’ Therefore we need a passionate Mathematician, with the same enthusiasm as the students.

The successful candidate must:

  • Hold a degree in Maths or a Maths related subject
  • Have QTS or be an NQT
  • Be an excellent practitioner and be able to become an outstanding teacher
  • Be fluent in the use of ICT for learning, teaching and administration
