A well known co-educational secondary school situated on the West side of the Warrington area is looking for a Maths teacher to join their Maths department starting in January. The successful Maths teacher will have a full teaching timetable consisting primarily of KS3 with some GCSE classes in year 10. There will be a focus on teaching students who are lower ability with all year groups being divided into ability sets. The school have identified their lower ability students as requiring intervention and further support so any experience in supporting in this area including experience of differentiating successfully is highly desirable.

If you are a successful Maths teacher looking for your next teaching role starting in January then this is the ideal role for you. The successful Maths teacher is required for the remainder of the academic year with the possibility of progressing onto a school based contract at the end of the academic year. The successfully appointed Maths teacher can be at any stage of their teaching career, with applications being accepted from NQTs or more experienced teachers. The school will be looking to meet prospective Maths teachers prior to the end of this autumn term in December, likely just after the October half term.

  • Pay will be in line with pay scales and pro rata for the time period: GBP24373 - GBP40490 per annum
  • Fulfil this Maths teaching role as an employee of Teaching Personnel in the first instance before transitioning on to a school based contract

The school has a student-centred focus when it comes to teaching, therefore requiring a Maths teacher who can offer high quality teaching with an innovative and dedicated style. It is of imperative importance that teaching is fun and engaging with a differentiated approach being key to allowing students to access the work.

The school is located to the west of Warrington which is easily accessible from all surrounding areas including Widnes, St Helens, Wigan and even Trafford in Greater Manchester. The school is well serviced by local public transport from the town centre and even train from Manchester city centre. For those travelling by car, the M56, M60 and M62 motorway networks all run near to the school. The school also has a large on site car park for use by all staff.
