Maths Teacher

Location: Walsall

Start Date: September 2026 

Pay rate: £160-£200 Per day (dependent on experience) 


 

About the role: 

Here at Teaching Personnel, we are working closely with a welcoming and supportive school that is currently seeking a Maths Teacher / Mathematics Tutor to support learners from Key Stage 3 through to A-Level.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong subject knowledge in Mathematics who is passionate about helping students achieve their full potential, particularly in preparation for examinations.

While Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is not essential for this role, the school is looking for someone with a solid understanding of the Maths curriculum, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging Maths support across KS3, KS4, and A-Level
  • Support students with exam preparation, revision strategies, and subject understanding
  • Plan and deliver structured learning sessions tailored to student needs
  • Build positive, professional relationships with students to encourage progress and confidence
  • Act as a positive role model within the classroom and wider school environment
  • Identify gaps in learning and provide targeted support to help students achieve their goals
  • Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure consistent academic progress

About You

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Confident in delivering Maths content up to A-Level standard
  • Passionate about education and supporting young people
  • Approachable, positive, and able to build strong relationships with students
  • Patient, resilient, and adaptable in different learning environments
  • Able to motivate and engage students of varying abilities
  • A strong communicator with a proactive attitude

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
