Maths Teacher – Sunderland Secondary School

September 2026 start, full time, competitive salary (MPS/UPS).

Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Maths Teacher for a Sunderland secondary school starting September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for passionate Maths teachers to join a supportive department and inspire the next generation of mathematicians.

The school offers strong leadership, excellent resources, and a commitment to staff development. You'll teach Maths across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons to students of varying abilities in a well structured environment with clear behaviour systems.

What you'll be doing:

  • Teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4
  • Planning and delivering high quality, engaging lessons
  • Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively
  • Contributing to the wider school community

You need:

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Degree in Mathematics or related subject
  • Experience teaching Maths at secondary level (ECTs welcome)
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for Mathematics
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Commitment to raising attainment and supporting student progress
