Location: Poole, Dorset
Contract: Full-time
Start Date: September 2026
Salary: MPS/UPS, dependent on experience
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Mathematics to join a successful secondary school in Poole from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Maths teacher to join a supportive school community and inspire students to develop their mathematical knowledge, confidence and problem-solving abilities.
The Role
- Teach Mathematics across KS3 and KS4, with potential KS5 opportunities.
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons.
- Prepare students for GCSE examinations and support strong outcomes.
- Develop students' mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Adapt lessons to meet the needs of students across a range of abilities.
- Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain high expectations of behaviour and achievement.
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Mathematics department.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching Mathematics in a secondary school setting.
- Has excellent subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for Mathematics.
- Can create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment.
- Has high expectations for all students.
- Is committed to raising attainment and supporting student progress.
- Works effectively as part of a supportive teaching team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
