Salary: MPS/UPS, dependent on experience

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Mathematics to join a successful secondary school in Poole from September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Maths teacher to join a supportive school community and inspire students to develop their mathematical knowledge, confidence and problem-solving abilities.

The Role

• Teach Mathematics across KS3 and KS4, with potential KS5 opportunities.
• Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons.
• Prepare students for GCSE examinations and support strong outcomes.
• Develop students' mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
• Adapt lessons to meet the needs of students across a range of abilities.
• Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain high expectations of behaviour and achievement.
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Mathematics department.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Has experience teaching Mathematics in a secondary school setting.
• Has excellent subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for Mathematics.
• Can create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment.
• Has high expectations for all students.
• Is committed to raising attainment and supporting student progress.
• Works effectively as part of a supportive teaching team.
