Mathematics Teacher (Permanent)
Secondary School, Oldham
Start Date: September 2025

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Mathematics Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Oldham from September 2025. This is a permanent role, offering the opportunity to teach Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. The successful candidate will inspire and engage students through innovative teaching methods that develop their mathematical skills and love for the subject.

The Mathematics Department is committed to delivering a challenging curriculum while also fostering a supportive and inclusive environment. You will be expected to create lesson plans that are accessible to students of all abilities, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to succeed. The ability to prepare students for GCSE exams will be essential, as will delivering engaging lessons that challenge and inspire students to think critically about the subject.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective Mathematics lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students

  • Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support development

  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation

  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver a cohesive and high-quality curriculum

  • Engage with parents and guardians to ensure students’ academic success

  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your teaching practice

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics, with the ability to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Experience teaching Mathematics in a secondary school setting

  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate lessons for diverse learning needs

  • A passion for education and helping students achieve their potential
