Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed and inspirational Maths Teacher to join a successful Mathematics Department at a secondary school in Marlow.

This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about mathematics and believes that every student can achieve highly. You will join a supportive and collaborative team dedicated to delivering engaging, challenging and accessible lessons that develop students' confidence, curiosity and problem-solving skills.

The role

As a Maths Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Inspire students to develop a genuine interest in mathematics and its applications.
  • Set high expectations for achievement, behaviour and personal development.
  • Use a range of effective teaching strategies to support students of all abilities.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive and meaningful feedback.
  • Contribute to the development of the Mathematics curriculum and department resources.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and support student outcomes.
  • Take an active role in the wider life of the school.

We are looking for someone who

  • Is a qualified teacher or is working towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has a strong subject knowledge in mathematics.
  • Is passionate about teaching and committed to achieving excellent outcomes for students.
  • Can create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Has high expectations of all students and is committed to helping every learner succeed.
  • Is an effective communicator and team player.
  • Is reflective, enthusiastic and keen to contribute to the continued development of the department.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
