Maths Teacher – Maternity Cover (All Girls Secondary School, Liverpool)
Contract: Full-Time, Maternity Cover
Start Date: After the Easter Holidays
Location: Liverpool
An established all‑girls secondary school in the Liverpool area is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Maths Teacher to join its committed team on a maternity cover contract beginning after the Easter break.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated educator who can deliver engaging Maths lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 and support students in reaching their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, high-quality Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Support students in making strong progress through effective teaching and clear expectations.
- Apply consistent behaviour management strategies that reflect the school’s positive and respectful culture.
- Mark and assess student work regularly, providing purposeful feedback.
- Work collaboratively with the Maths department to enhance curriculum resources and maintain high standards.
- Contribute to the school’s supportive ethos and commitment to student wellbeing and success.
Person Specification
Essential
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Maths at Key Stage 4.
- Strong subject knowledge with the ability to explain concepts clearly and confidently.
- Effective behaviour management skills and a commitment to high classroom standards.
- A genuine passion for supporting young women to achieve in Mathematics.
Desirable
- Previous experience working in an all‑girls secondary school.
- Familiarity with GCSE Maths specifications and assessment processes.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
