An established all‑girls secondary school in the Liverpool area is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Maths Teacher to join its committed team on a maternity cover contract beginning after the Easter break.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, high-quality Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Support students in making strong progress through effective teaching and clear expectations.
• Apply consistent behaviour management strategies that reflect the school’s positive and respectful culture.
• Mark and assess student work regularly, providing purposeful feedback.
• Work collaboratively with the Maths department to enhance curriculum resources and maintain high standards.
• Contribute to the school’s supportive ethos and commitment to student wellbeing and success.

Person Specification

Essential

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Maths at Key Stage 4.
• Strong subject knowledge with the ability to explain concepts clearly and confidently.
• Effective behaviour management skills and a commitment to high classroom standards.
• A genuine passion for supporting young women to achieve in Mathematics.

Desirable

• Previous experience working in an all‑girls secondary school.
• Familiarity with GCSE Maths specifications and assessment processes.
