About the Role
Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated maths teacher to join an Outstanding secondary school in central Manchester for a long-term cover role. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate maths teacher to work within a high-performing school known for academic excellence. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching that inspires students and supports them in achieving strong outcomes in Mathematics.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Teaching & Learning: As a maths teacher, deliver well-structured and engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, ensuring all students are challenged, supported, and motivated.
- Assessment: Monitor and assess progress, provide timely feedback, and implement interventions when required to support continuous improvement.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes high standards of behaviour, respect, and enthusiasm for Maths.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Maths department and wider school staff, sharing best practices and contributing to a supportive team atmosphere.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Mathematics.
- Ability to differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A committed maths teacher who is enthusiastic about helping students reach their full potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
