Teaching Personnel is proud to be working with a mixed secondary school in Havant, seeking a passionate and ambitious Teacher of Maths to join their department from September 2026.

In recent years, the school has undergone significant improvement, with rising attendance, improved behaviour, and strengthening academic outcomes, including in Maths. Staff benefit from a structured and supportive environment with a strong focus on professional development, including weekly coaching and collaborative practice. Strong behaviour management skills are advantageous, but the school also offers robust support for teachers looking to develop in this area.  The school are interested in newly qualified teachers as well as those with more experience.

The role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking and ambitious Maths department under strong leadership. The successful candidate will deliver a high-quality and engaging curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4, using evidence-based strategies to develop students’ fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving skills, while effectively assessing progress to address misconceptions and close attainment gaps. You will play a key role in inspiring students to build confidence in mathematics and appreciate its value beyond the classroom. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will engage in shared planning, coaching, and professional dialogue, with opportunities to contribute to wider school initiatives and enrichment activities. This is a full-time temporary position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

  • Have strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach Maths across KS3 and KS4
  • Demonstrate a commitment to high expectations and inclusive teaching

  • Engage and inspire students of all abilities
  • Work effectively as part of a collaborative and supportive team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
