Maths Teacher – Exeter

Location: Exeter
Job Type: Full Time / Part Time Opportunities Available
Start Date: September 2026

Teaching Personnel are seeking enthusiastic and committed Maths Teachers to work across a number of our partner secondary schools in the Exeter area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Maths specialist looking for variety, flexibility and the opportunity to work within different school environments.

The Role

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Plan engaging and appropriately differentiated lessons.
  • Support students to develop their mathematical knowledge and confidence.
  • Monitor and assess student progress.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom expectations.
  • Build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Work across a number of schools depending on placement requirements.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience.
  • A degree or relevant qualification in Mathematics.
  • Experience teaching Maths within a secondary school environment.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Passionate about Maths and inspiring young people.
  • Adaptable and confident working across different school settings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
