Job description

Help Students Finish Strong – Become a 1:1 Maths Tutor (Start ASAP!)

Are you passionate about Maths and ready to make a real difference as the school year wraps up?

TP Tutors is looking for enthusiastic and reliable 1:1 Maths Tutors to support pupils in your local area through the final crucial weeks before the summer holidays. Whether you're an experienced teacher, TA, or skilled tutor, this is your chance to help learners catch up, gain confidence, and go into the break on a high.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Delivering personalised 1:1 Maths tuition to primary or secondary students (KS1–KS4)
• Supporting pupils who may have fallen behind, need exam prep, or benefit from extra confidence in numeracy
• Teaching face-to-face in homes, libraries, or community settings, arranged with families
• Creating engaging lesson plans that make tricky topics understandable
• Tracking student progress and adjusting sessions to meet evolving needs
• Encouraging and motivating learners to finish the academic year strong

What We’re Looking For:

• Confident teaching Maths at primary and/or secondary level
• Experience in tutoring, teaching or support work with young learners
• Ability to plan structured, learner-focused sessions
• Excellent communication and organisation skills
• A patient and enthusiastic approach that builds pupil confidence

Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply – we can help)
• The right to work in the UK
• A commitment to safeguarding and quality education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
