Experienced Maths Teacher
Location: Burnley, Lancashire
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS (Dependent on experience)
About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Maths Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive secondary school in Burnley from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to inspiring students and delivering high-quality Maths teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5).
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated maths lessons that challenge and motivate all learners
- Monitor student progress and implement strategies to raise attainment
- Contribute to curriculum development within the Maths department
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Support students in achieving their full academic potential
- Participate in departmental meetings, parents’ evenings, and wider school life
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A degree in Mathematics or a related subject
- Proven experience teaching Maths at secondary level
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for education
- Excellent classroom management skills
- A commitment to continuous professional development
- The ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
