Job description

A thriving mainstream secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking to appoint a fully qualified and motivated Mathematics Teacher to join their successful department on a full-time basis from Easter 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to become part of a supportive and ambitious school community where high expectations and positive relationships underpin strong academic outcomes. The Mathematics department is well-established, collaborative, and committed to delivering engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential for Key Stage 5 teaching depending on experience.

The school benefits from a clear vision, supportive senior leadership team, and a strong focus on professional development. Staff wellbeing is prioritised, and teachers are encouraged to innovate and share best practice within their departments.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Have experience teaching Mathematics across KS3 and KS4

  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for raising attainment

  • Be confident in planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons

  • Have high expectations of behaviour and achievement

  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school
