Job Title: Maths Teacher
Location: Hay Green Lane, Birmingham
Salary: Competitive salary (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract: Full-time / Long-term

We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming secondary school located on Hay Green Lane, Birmingham, for an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join their team as soon as possible. This is an excellent long-term opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to delivering engaging Maths lessons and inspiring students to achieve their full potential. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.

Your role will involve delivering engaging, high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will create a positive and inclusive learning environment while supporting pupils to develop their mathematical knowledge, confidence, and academic achievement.

As a Maths Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons in line with the UK National Curriculum
  • Teaching across KS3 and KS4
  • Assessing, monitoring, and recording pupil progress where required
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff, support staff, and the wider school community
  • Following all safeguarding and school procedures

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (essential)
  • Have experience teaching Maths within a secondary school setting
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Have strong subject knowledge and effective communication skills
  • Are passionate about raising student attainment and engagement
  • Are adaptable, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality teaching
  • Are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to obtain one
