Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic and driven Maths Graduates to support schools across Newcastle upon Tyne. This opportunity is ideal for graduates considering a future in teaching, educational psychology, youth work, or wider education-based careers.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering targeted 1:1 and small-group Maths interventions
  • Supporting students to improve confidence, engagement, and attainment
  • Assisting pupils with additional needs, including SEN and SEMH
  • Working closely with teachers to provide tailored classroom support
  • Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
  • Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
  • Acting as a positive role model for young people

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

  • Holds a degree in Maths or a closely related subject
  • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is patient, proactive, and compassionate
  • Has a genuine passion for supporting children and young people
  • Can build positive relationships with students and staff
  • Has previous experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
