Job description

Core Subject Tutor – Newcastle (NE5)

TP Tutors is looking for passionate and adaptable tutors to support learners in Newcastle (NE5) with core academic subjects. This role is ideal for educators, teaching assistants, or experienced tutors who enjoy working one-to-one and helping young people make meaningful progress.

In this position, you’ll deliver personalised, face-to-face sessions in Maths, English and Science, tailored to each pupil’s needs and designed to close learning gaps, build confidence, and boost motivation. Lessons typically take place in the pupil’s home or a local community setting such as the library.

You’ll be planning engaging activities, adapting your approach to match individual learning styles, and helping pupils steadily build knowledge and resilience. A supportive attitude, patience, and excellent communication skills are essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
