SEND Teaching Assistant – EN3
Location: Enfield, EN3
Hours: Full Time | 8:30am – 3:30pm (Monday – Friday)
Start Date: ASAP | Long-Term Placement
Via Teaching Personnel
Teaching Personnel are currently working in close partnership with a welcoming and inclusive Primary School based in EN3 (Enfield) to recruit an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant. This is a full-time, long-term role, ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs, including ASD, SEMH, and challenging behaviour.

Role Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and other complex learning needs.

Support pupils in managing challenging behaviour and building emotional regulation strategies.

Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies.

Help create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment tailored to individual needs.
✅ Candidate Requirements:

Minimum of 6 months’ experience supporting pupils with SEND in a UK school setting.

Sound knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.

Strong behaviour management skills and an adaptable, empathetic approach.

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply through Teaching Personnel).

A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to build rapport with pupils and staff alike.
