Level 4 Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about supporting children’s learning and development? We are looking for a dedicated Level 4 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and friendly school in Rochdale this September.

Role Overview:

As a Level 4 Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide targeted support for pupils with additional learning needs, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)

• Deliver interventions and 1:1 or small group support to help pupils achieve their potential

• Assist in planning and delivering learning activities under the direction of class teachers

• Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioral development

• Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure holistic support for pupils

• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and contribute to review meetings

Person Specification:

• Experience working with children in an educational setting, ideally with SEND or additional needs

• Level 4 qualification in Teaching Assistance or equivalent experience

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to supporting learners

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
