Pay Rate: £89.44 – £100 per day
Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary (with the possibility of a permanent role)

A vibrant and welcoming primary school located in the heart of Whelley, Wigan, is looking to appoint a skilled and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team from September 2025. You will be working in a well-resourced setting alongside experienced staff who prioritise child development, curiosity, and inclusive practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of the EYFS curriculum through engaging and imaginative activities.
• Provide one-to-one and small group interventions to help children reach developmental milestones.
• Encourage children’s personal, social, and emotional growth through consistent routines and positive reinforcement
• Assist in planning, observing, and recording pupil progress in line with EYFS expectations.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
• Collaborate effectively with the class teacher, EYFS lead, SENCO, and parents/carers.

Essential Criteria:

• Level 3 qualification in a relevant area (e.g., CACHE Diploma in Early Years Education or equivalent).
• Previous experience working in an EYFS setting such as nursery, preschool, or Reception.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and early child development.
• Positive, calm, and nurturing attitude.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

Desirable:

• Experience working with children with SEND, particularly those with speech, language, and communication needs.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and inclusive practice within an EYFS setting.
