Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Pontefract

An excellent school in the Pontefract area is seeking a passionate and dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our team. We are a vibrant educational institution committed to providing high-quality learning experiences for our students. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on young lives and contribute to their educational journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons
  • Assist with the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide targeted support to students with additional needs
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Foster students' social and emotional development
  • Support with classroom management and behavior management strategies
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create a supportive and nurturing learning environment
  • Provide feedback on students' progress to the class teacher and contribute to assessments

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Relevant experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting
  • Strong understanding of child development and learning strategies
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students' learning and well-being
