Are you a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in Sheffield?
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work within an Inclusion Resource (IR) Unit at a Sheffield school. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential.
The Role
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will provide targeted support to pupils within the IR Unit, working closely with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals. You will support pupils both academically and pastorally, helping them develop their confidence, independence and engagement with education.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils.
- Supporting pupils with a range of SEN and additional needs.
- Assisting with the delivery of learning activities and interventions.
- Helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and social skills.
- Supporting positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
- Implementing individual support and learning strategies.
- Adapting activities and resources to meet individual needs.
- Building strong, positive relationships with pupils.
- Monitoring and reporting on pupil progress where required.
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and the wider school team.
- Supporting pupils within the IR Unit and, where appropriate, mainstream classroom environments.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant who is confident, patient and passionate about supporting children and young people.
You will ideally have:
- A relevant Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Previous experience working within a school or education setting.
- Experience supporting pupils with SEN or additional needs.
- A strong understanding of behaviour management and inclusive support strategies.
- The ability to work confidently with pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A calm, consistent and nurturing approach.
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- A genuine commitment to helping pupils achieve their educational and personal goals.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
