Job description

We are seeking a dedicated, nurturing, and enthusiastic Level 3 qualified EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant Early Years team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young children’s learning, development, and wellbeing at the very start of their educational journey.

Position: Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant
Contract: Full-time
Location: Accrington
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £13.75 - £14.95 per hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning opportunities across the EYFS curriculum
  • Provide targeted support for individual children and small groups
  • Foster a warm, safe, and stimulating environment that supports the needs of all learners
  • Contribute to planning, observations, and assessments in line with EYFS Framework
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Support with daily routines including phonics, outdoor provision, and child-initiated play
  • Uphold safeguarding, behaviour, and school policies at all times

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years or equivalent
  • Experience working within an Early Years setting
  • A solid understanding of the EYFS Framework
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach
  • A genuine passion for helping children flourish academically, socially, and emotionally

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
