Salary - £95.00 - £13.000 per day (depending on experience)

We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and caring Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning within a secondary school environment. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and students to help raise achievement, promote inclusion, and ensure all learners can access the curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

• Support students in lessons, both individually and in small groups.
• Assist teachers with the preparation and delivery of learning activities.
• Help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
• Provide additional support to students with varying learning needs and abilities.
• Encourage student participation, independence, and confidence.
• Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teaching staff where appropriate.
• Support the management of classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Assist with the preparation of teaching resources and classroom displays.
• Promote the safeguarding, welfare, and wellbeing of all students.
• Support students during breaktimes, educational visits, and other school activities as required.

Person Specification

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience is desirable.
• Experience working with children or young people, preferably within an educational setting.
• Good literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.
• Patient, adaptable, and supportive approach to working with young people.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and use initiative when required.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
