Level 2 Teaching Assistant - Drakes Brougthon - WR10
Salary - £95.00 - £13.000 per day (depending on experience)
We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and caring Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning within a secondary school environment. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and students to help raise achievement, promote inclusion, and ensure all learners can access the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Support students in lessons, both individually and in small groups.
- Assist teachers with the preparation and delivery of learning activities.
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Provide additional support to students with varying learning needs and abilities.
- Encourage student participation, independence, and confidence.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teaching staff where appropriate.
- Support the management of classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Assist with the preparation of teaching resources and classroom displays.
- Promote the safeguarding, welfare, and wellbeing of all students.
- Support students during breaktimes, educational visits, and other school activities as required.
Person Specification
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience is desirable.
- Experience working with children or young people, preferably within an educational setting.
- Good literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.
- Patient, adaptable, and supportive approach to working with young people.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and use initiative when required.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
