Do you enjoy working with children and young people and helping them feel safe, understood and supported? Are you coming from a childcare, care, youth work, health, family support or other people-focused background, or looking to move into education using your transferable skills? If so, this could be a rewarding next step.

We are recruiting a full-time Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive specialist school in the Farnborough area. The school supports older primary to early secondary-aged pupils with a range of needs, including moderate and severe learning difficulties, complex needs and autism. You do not need prior school experience; backgrounds in nurseries, childcare, residential care, health or support work are highly valued, and training will be provided.

Why you might enjoy this role:

  • A friendly, close-knit staff team that values collaboration and support

  • The opportunity to make a meaningful difference in pupils’ daily lives

  • A calm specialist setting focused on communication, independence and wellbeing

  • A clear temp-to-perm pathway, with the potential for a salaried school role

About you:

  • Experience working with children or young people, or transferable skills from a care or support role

  • A calm, patient and empathetic approach

  • An interest in supporting pupils with MLD, SLD, complex needs and ASC

  • Reliable, proactive and able to remain emotionally resilient
