Learning Support Assistant – Sidmouth (Primary Schools)
Are you passionate about supporting children in a classroom setting? Teaching Personnel is recruiting caring, enthusiastic, and committed Learning Support Assistants to work in mainstream primary schools across Sidmouth and the surrounding areas.
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children, supporting their learning and development, and making a positive impact in a primary school environment. Experience in education, childcare, or transferable roles such as care or youth work is beneficial but not essential.
Role: Learning Support Assistant
Pay Rate: £95–£105 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Part time, Term Time Only
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assist the class teacher with delivering lessons and classroom activities
- Help pupils stay engaged, motivated, and on task
- Provide additional support to pupils with varying learning needs
- Encourage positive behaviour and promote a supportive learning environment
- Support pupils during transitions, break times, and throughout the school day
- Work closely with teachers and other staff to ensure pupils receive consistent support
We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential)
- A positive, patient, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A willingness to learn and adapt in a school environment
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
