Learning Support Assistant (SEMH) | Norwich
Ideal for Psychology Graduates
Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain practical experience working with young people before pursuing a career in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Mental Health, Social Work or Teaching?
Teaching Personnel is partnering with a specialist SEMH school in Norwich to recruit a dedicated Learning Support Assistant. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs, helping them build confidence, resilience and positive relationships with learning.
The Role
You will work closely with students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, supporting their emotional wellbeing, behaviour and engagement in education. Working alongside teachers and pastoral staff, you'll help create a safe, structured and supportive learning environment.
We're Looking For
- A Psychology graduate or someone with a strong interest in child development and mental health.
- Patient, empathetic and resilient individuals.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience working with children or young people is beneficial but not essential.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
