Start Date: September 2026
Pay: £92 - £105 per day, paid weekly
The Role
Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in North Somerset from September.
This varied role will involve a combination of general classroom support and 1:1 support for pupils who require additional assistance to access learning and thrive within the school environment. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the wider support team to help pupils build confidence, develop key skills, and achieve positive outcomes both academically and socially.
Due to the school's location, drivers are preferred, as it can be difficult to access via public transport. This role would be particularly well suited to candidates living in Clevedon, Weston-super-Mare, Congresbury, Nailsea, and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning within the classroom alongside the class teacher
- Provide targeted 1:1 support for pupils with additional learning needs
- Assist with the delivery of engaging learning activities and interventions
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
- Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development
- Help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and parents where appropriate
- Monitor and record pupil progress when required

- A genuine passion for supporting children's development
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to the needs of the school and pupils
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred)
