'Good' Burnley based Primary School- Teaching Assistant VACANCY
A new TA vacancy has arisen in an Ofsted graded OUTSANDING Primary School in Burnley. This exciting opportunity will be to start from September 2023, the working hours will be from 8:30-15:30 with 30 minutes unpaid breaks. The school offer invaluable experience working in an EYFS unit and will take the opportunity to invite temporary staff from Teaching Personnel to attend CPD and INSETs. The school is located close to the Burnley centre and is easily accesible via public transport.
The Head teacher and SENCO in school are keen to use Teaching Personnel for all their supply and SEN support roles in school which include supporting individual children. The children in the Reception class vary in their needs including ADHD, ASD, SEMH and Physical Disabilities. This particular role will be to work alongside a child with speech and language needs as well as personal care. There will be an induction programme set up initially on arrival and so you will be shown the child’s EHCP and other documentation to ensure you can support the child effectively. The SENCO and other members of staff in the Early Years department are extremely friendly and supportive and welcome all members of staff to their school. The school is also of a Christian faith and so it is important that you can uphold the Christian ethos across the school and respect the morals and behaviours of such children.
There are a number of prerequisites for this role and some preferable:
- You must hold a Level 2 teaching assistant qualification or higher.
- You must have recent EYFS teaching assistant experience in the last 6 months.
- You may have worked alongside children with Special Educational Needs
- You may be looking for a temp to perm role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
