Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – SEN Primary Schools
Location: Based in Winchester
Pay: £14.20 per hour
Flexible working | Term-time only | School hours
Start Date: ASAP

Teaching Personnel is currently seeking passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistants to work in SEN primary schools based in Winchester. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in young people’s lives while enjoying the flexibility of term-time, school-hour working.

About the Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting younger students with additional needs to achieve their full potential. Working closely with teachers and SEN specialists, you will help create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) during lessons and school activities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support
  • Assist teachers with lesson delivery and behaviour management
  • Encourage pupil engagement, independence, and confidence
  • Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing and social development

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people (SEN experience desirable but not essential)
  • A patient, caring, and positive attitude
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • An Enhanced Child Only DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • The right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
