This is an exciting opportunity to join a welcoming and committed team, working closely with the SENDCO and Assistant SENDCO to provide high-quality support for students with additional needs. You'll receive ongoing guidance, training, and professional development opportunities, allowing you to make a real difference to the lives of young people.
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support for students with additional needs, helping them to access learning and achieve their individual goals.
- Support students' social, emotional, and personal development, ensuring they feel valued, safe, and included.
- Deliver and support learning activities as part of the wider teaching plan, adapting approaches where necessary to meet individual needs.
- Assist with moving and handling duties for designated students where required.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
- Play an active role in all aspects of school life, contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
