Learning Support Assistant – Wellington, Somerset
Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities | Teaching Personnel
Teaching Personnel are working closely with schools in the Wellington, Somerset area to recruit committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join their teams.
This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting pupils both academically and emotionally, helping them to thrive in a supportive school environment.
The role:
- Supporting students in the classroom across a range of subjects
- Working with small groups and on a 1:1 basis
- Assisting pupils with additional learning needs, including SEN
- Supporting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience working with children or young people (education experience desirable but not essential)
- Be patient, adaptable, and proactive
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Be committed to supporting pupils’ development and wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
