Learning Support Assistant
Job description
Teaching Personnel are currently working with a school based in Stoke-on-Trent who are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to start part-time in January. This role is to support a number of pupils with varying SEN needs.
About the role:
- Start-date: 5th January
- Ongoing until the end of the academic year
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work alongside a group of support staff with students who require additional learning, behavioural, and social/emotional support. This will include both 1-1 and small group intervention. You will work closely with class Teachers to create and implement individualised learning support plans, so all students have access to the national curriculum at any level.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience working with young people is necessary
- Knowledge/experience with SEN is desirable
- A passion for working with young people
- A calm, patient and empathetic approach to behaviour management

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
