Teaching Personnel are seeking compassionate, resilient and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to work within specialist schools and provisions across Stockport and Tameside. We are looking for individuals who want to make a genuine difference to the lives of children and young people with a wide range of educational and emotional needs.

The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will support pupils with a variety of needs, including:
- Autism Spectrum Condition
- ADHD
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs
- Speech, Language and Communication Needs
- Moderate and Complex Learning Difficulties
- Sensory Processing Difficulties
- Physical Disabilities
Your responsibilities may include:
✅ Providing 1:1 support tailored to individual pupil needs
✅ Assisting with small group interventions and classroom activities
✅ Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
✅ Encouraging independence, confidence and social development
✅ Adapting learning approaches to meet individual needs
✅ Building positive relationships with pupils, families and staff
✅ Helping create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment

Who We're Looking For
We welcome applications from candidates with experience in:
- SEN Support
- Education and Teaching Assistance
- Care and Residential Support
- Youth Work
- Children's Services
- Psychology or Education Graduates
- Sports Coaching and Mentoring
The ideal candidate will have:
✔ Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable adults
✔ A patient, nurturing and resilient approach
✔ Strong communication and relationship-building skills
✔ Confidence supporting behaviour and emotional regulation
✔ A genuine passion for helping children succeed
✔ Full-time availability (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm) preferred
✔ An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
