A welcoming and inclusive mainstream secondary school in Salisbury is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team from September 2025 on a part-time basis (0.4 FTE).
This rewarding role involves supporting students with a range of learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum and develop their confidence, independence, and academic skills. Working closely with teaching staff, you will play a key role in ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed.
The role:
-
Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with additional needs
-
Assisting in the preparation and adaptation of learning materials
-
Supporting classroom management and encouraging positive behaviour
-
Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and other staff to support student progress
The ideal candidate will:

Have experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting
-
Be patient, adaptable, and committed to inclusive education
-
Show excellent communication and teamwork skills
-
Be willing to learn and develop their skills through training and feedback

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
