Learning Support Assistant
Job description
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Rochdale.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people and making a positive impact within education. The successful candidate will work closely with students, teachers, and the SEN department to help pupils achieve their full potential both academically and personally.
The Role:
- Supporting students in lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Providing one-to-one and small group support where required
- Assisting students with additional learning needs
- Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Supporting classroom teachers with lesson activities and behaviour management
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
- A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Passionate about supporting student development and wellbeing
- Experience supporting SEN students is beneficial but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
