Learning Support Assistant (SEN) – Secondary School
Portsmouth Area | Full-Time or Part-Time | Start ASAP
£13.75 per hour | Via Teaching Personnel
Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a supportive SEN secondary school in the Portsmouth area. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about helping young people with additional needs reach their full potential.
We are offering flexible working options, with both full-time and part-time roles available, starting ASAP.
Role Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one or small-group support to students with a range of SEN.

Assist in delivering personalised learning plans and curriculum access.

Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and school staff.

Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Support students’ academic, emotional, and social development.
Ideal Candidate
-
Experience supporting children or young people (SEN experience advantageous).

Calm, patient, and nurturing approach.
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Reliable, proactive, and committed to making a difference.
-
Available to start at short notice.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
